Fort Sill, Oklahoma, honored Patrick W. Powers in memoriam by naming a maintenance building for him on post.
The naming ceremony for "Powers Hall" took place on May 13, 1994, at Fort Sill, OK.
Attending the building dedication ceremony and giving the dedication speech was Gen. Joseph E. McCarthy, left,
a good friend of Gen. Patrick Powers, and a fellow 1945 USMA classmate from West Point.

The family of Gen. Patrick Powers is shown to the right of Gen. McCarthy:
daughter Joanne (Jaye) Powers, wife Doris Powers, daughter Laura Powers, daughter-in-law Gail West Powers, and son Robert Powers.
Also attending were cousins Stan Hurt and Sandy Hurt of Indianpolis, Indiana,
and Col. Charles Bush and Mrs. Marilyn Bush from Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Gen. Patrick W. Powers and his wife, Doris Hurt Powers,
are buried together at West Point, NY.
Patrick Powers passed in 1989, and Doris Powers passed twenty years later in 2009.
